What is required to become a participating Data Partner?
Participation in Trends® requires that you provide us with data from each of your individual property’s 2024 year-end financial statements. As with all CBRE surveys, individual property and company performance data are kept strictly confidential. The following link describes how CBRE uses the data you submit: Terms of Use.
What are the additional benefits that Data Partners receive?
There is no cost to participate in the Trends® survey. In appreciation for your participation, you will receive complimentary copies of the Trends® in the Hotel Industry report in PDF and online format. In addition, participants receive access to our data platform, and a 20% discount on CBRE Hotels Research products and services, examples listed below:
• Hotel Horizons®: These reports provide five-year forecasts of supply, demand, occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR for the U.S. lodging industry, six chain scales, six location categories, and 65 major markets. Click Here for a Video Tutorial of Hotel Horizons®.
• BenchmarkerSM Unlimited: Subscription access to our hotel benchmarking database. Analyze the aggregated financial performance of a group of hotels, selected by the customer, using customized criteria. How can I submit my data to CBRE Hotels Research?
The submission of your data can be accomplished in the following ways:

Submission for Multiple Properties:
• Provide the data for each of your properties in one or more formatted excel workbooks. The format should include unique codes for each hotel, each department, and each statistical, revenue and expense line item. Please click here to view examples of preferred formats for submitting your data. E-mail the file to trends@cbre.com.
• E-mail an electronic copy of each property’s year-end 2024 financial statement in your existing format(s) to trends@cbre.com.
Submission for Individual Properties:
• Complete one of our questionnaires for each property. Please click here to download an Excel version of our questionnaire. When complete, please e-mail your survey form(s) to trends@cbre.com.
• Mail a copy of each property's 2024 year-end financial statement to:

Notes:
• CBRE processes data in accordance with the 11th edition of the USALI. Please see glossary located here.
• If you choose to send copies of your financial statements (electronic or hard copy), please be sure to include the supporting departmental schedules, as well as the rooms department statistics (occupancy, ADR, market mix, etc.).
• Excel formatting is preferred; however, we can accept PDF formatting.
